🏀UConn Parade🎊

Congrats to the UConn Women’s Basketball team on winning their 12th National Championship on Sunday. The victory parade and rally will be this Saturday, April 12th. The parade will begin at 11:00 am at the State Capitol building at the intersection of Trinity Street and Elm Street. It will proceed north on Trinity Street, go through the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, turn right onto Jewell Street, turn left onto Trumbull Street, and end at the intersection of Asylum Street and Trumbull Street. The rally will begin after the parade outside of the main entrance of the XL Center on Trumbull Street. Players, coaches, and other guests will be invited to give speeches.

🥾Get Outside: Windsor Locks/Suffield🏞️

The gate is unlocked on April 1st every year.

The Windsor Locks Canal path opened up last week. It’s a great time to get out and take a walk or ride before all the spring vegetation pops. You get great views of both sides of the canal and river for the whole stretch.

The new train station is coming along slowly.

☕️Hartford Baking Co🥐

150 Sullivan Ave, South Windsor

Hartford Baking Company opened their new South Windsor location earlier this year. I’m always on the lookout for places to pop in and work for a while in between appointments.

There is plenty of room to spread out if you have a group of people. There wasn’t the selection of baked goods they have have their flagship location in West Hartford Center but all the coffee drinks are on the menu. I love the Golden Milk latte for a non-caffeinated afternoon drink!

🍖Aldi?🥦

Aldi is planning a new East Windsor location. Site plans were given to the planning and zoning commission at a meeting on March 25th. There is a public hearing tonight discussing the project. If you don’t shop there, it’s a great place for healthy options! It would be great to have one close by. These are my favorites!
